Gold Country Brewers Association is a nationally recognized educational and social organization. We were founded in 1982 to promote homebrewing excellence. If you are a beginning brewer, an advanced brewer, or just interested in the art and science of a well made beer, GCBA is the place for you. Our activities are designed for novices and experts alike. Our monthly meetings feature guest speakers and monthly styles. Our quarterly public brewing days allow us to roll out our 45-gallon mobile brewery, "Da BOAT." Our annual homebrew competition, Celebrewtion, receives entries from some of the region's top homebrewers, many of whom are GCBA members. We also get to show off our beers at regional events such as the West Coast Brewers' Festival and the California Brewers' Festival. Learn about evaluating beers from our Beer Judge Certification Program certified judges. And of course, enjoy a cold one with some friends....

- Our February Meeting is all about beer's cousins: Cider and Mead! February 14, 2012 @ 7:00PM at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Sacramento on Sierra Blvd. As always, visitors are welcome (don't forget your tasting glass!). Hope to see you there!
- The 2012 Edition of Celebrewtion will be held on March 24 at Steve Gerdsen's house. Last year we had 127 entries this year in 17 flights, we plan on beating that this year. See the 2011 winners on the 2011 Celebrewtion website. Congrats to the winners and thanks to all who submitted entries!
